Desborough Sailing Club is an official Royal Yachting Association training centre

Applications for Summer 2026 are now closed

We run 2 day courses in July for club members but will be open to the public if places remain available.

New members are always welcome and for information on membership, please contact the membership team membership@desboroughsc.org

These courses are great fun! For students and instructors!

They are aimed at children from 8 years old and above, and adults who would like to learn to sail or would like to improve their sailing skills. Many of our members first learnt to sail on one of these courses.

We offer the following courses:

Dinghy Level 1 – Start Sailing
Dinghy Level 2 – Basic Skills
Dinghy Level 3 – Better Sailing
Dinghy Start Racing
Dinghy Seamanship Skills
Youth Sailing Scheme – Start Sailing Stage 1
Youth Sailing Scheme – Start Sailing Stage 2
Youth Sailing Scheme – Start Sailing Stage 3
Youth Sailing Scheme – Start Sailing Stage 4

The closing date for applications will be 1st July at which point we will confirm places and take payment.
